Gretchen and I want to thank you for your prayers the past couple of weeks. The Lord has opened several more doors of opportunity for us to work with Muslims and share our burden for North Africa with other churches. You have made a difference through your prayers, and we cannot thank you enough for the part you play in our life and ministry.
Last Friday I had the opportunity to visit with Ahmed (a Muslim friend of mine in the Atlanta area). Our conversation moved quickly to spiritual issues, and he asked me several questions concerning the Bible and Jesus Christ. About an hour into our discussion another man walked into the store and invited himself into the conversation. He told his story about how he became a Muslim even though he was raised in a “Christian” home, and then told me that Jesus Christ prophesied of Muhammad’s coming (Check out the Muslim Evangelism blog to read more about this conversation that I had with him).
When it was all said and done I realized more than ever before how desperately we need the power of the Holy Spirit while working with any unbeliever, especially the Muslim people. Please continue to pray for the Lord to open Ahmed’s heart to the truth as I go back to visit him tomorrow. I am taking a Moroccan friend of mine with me who used to be a Muslim and we plan on having him share his testimony. |
