Thank you for your prayers and support as Gretchen and I have made our move to the mission field. We had a busy week after traveling from one conference in Bolivia to another in Peru. The Lord blessed in every service, and we praise the Lord for allowing us to have a part in all of it.
Missions International
I had the privilege of preaching for five minutes every night in Spanish during a mission conference at Iglesia Bautista de Juliaca. On Sunday morning I got to teach my first Sunday school lesson in the language. Even though I only spoke for twenty of the forty minutes allotted to me, the service went well. It was a great experience and I look forward to preaching even more after beginning language school.
Moving Along
Gretchen and I have started looking for a house here in Peru. Early Monday morning we got back to Arequipa and that afternoon we began to place our orders for household essentials (i.e. beds, stove, refrigerator, etc.). Later on in the evening we were able to look at a house that we will possibly be renting. It is a nice house with an incredible price and location. We will know for sure in a day or two whether or not we will be able to rent it or if we should continue looking at other possibilities.
Thank you for the difference you make in our life and ministry. Please continue to pray for us as we get set up and begin learning the Spanish language. This is one more vital step to building the team that will revolutionize the Muslim world with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
