Two years and almost 100,000 miles after embarking on the deputation trail, Gretchen and I have left the United States for the mission field. The Lord blessed in so many incredible ways as we visited more than 300 churches ranging from Vermont to California, Florida to Colorado, and everything else in between. This is the first step in our journey to take the gospel to millions of Muslims who have never heard the good news.
One Small Step
On February 15, Gretchen and I flew from Atlanta, Georgia, to Peru, South America. We arrived in Arequipa early on the 16th and three hours later, we got on a bus to travel another twenty-five hours to a conference in Cochabamba, Bolivia. Everything worked out perfectly! All of our bags made it to their appropriate destinations, and next week when we get back to Arequipa, we will begin to look for a house. We plan on spending the next two years in Peru studying Spanish and working with South Americans who will go to North Africa and begin planting churches.
Once our time here is complete, we will move to southern Spain where we will be able to plant a church, reach the 1.2 million North Africans living in that area, and travel frequently into Morocco (only a 30 minute ferry ride away) to help our South American team as they plant churches in one of the world’s most feared and forgotten mission fields. We need more laborers to give their lives for the people of North Africa. Ask the Lord to send forth more workers into the harvest field. We would like to see 100 more families in the next 20 years go with us. Please continue to pray for us as we learn Spanish and as we take the next step in reaching North Africa with the gospel of Jesus Christ. You can make a difference.
To God Be The Glory,
